'SPIFFS' Katrina Fundraising Event

'Taraana' students performed for a fund raising event for Katrina relief fund organized by SPIFFS (St.Petersburg International Folk Fair Society) on Friday Oct 14, 2005.
They presented two items:
1. A 'Taraana' in 'Raag Bhairav'.
2. 'Do - a deer, a female deer' a song from movie 'The Sound of Music'. Students demonstrated in a fun way the tonal similarities between 'Do Re Mi...' the western notes and 'Sa Re Ga...' the Indian notes by singing the song .
