  'Chitram' A multimedia musical theater production

On November 14th, 2009 Taraana Music students and Sharmistha Banerjee performed for the 'Chitram, a multimedia musical theater production' to raise funds for the Hindu Temple of Florida.

 Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

On October 4th, 2009 Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater celebrated Mahatma Gandhi's birth. Taraana Music was honored and proud to be a part of it. Students performed Gandhiji's favorite hymns and prayers. Suryaveer Sankineni, Chaya Bhat and Pooja Shah performed and paid their respect to the great soul.

  62 India Independence Day (15 August, 1947) Celebration:

         On August 16, 2009 Sunday, Taraana Music students performed at the India Cultural Center, Tampa

          to celebrate India independence day.

     Emmanuel Community Church auditorium,

     Palm Harbor, Florida

Thank you Taraana Music families and friends for attending the 2009 Student Day program. Thank you all for coming on time and for helping us start the program as scheduled. Program started sharp at 3:30 PM and was finished at 7:20 PM (10 minutes before time!). There was a half an hour refreshment break in between.

 

Not all, but 23 students performed at the 'student day' program. Students performed vocal Classical, Semi-classical, Bhajans, Geets and Sufi songs.  All students were given certificates for successfully completing vocal training for the year of 2007-08 and for the participation. Thanks to Mr. Naresh Ramlogan for helping us with the sound system.

  Bengali New Year Celebration: May 11, 2008

     Land O Lakes Community Center,

    Land O Lakes, Florida

On May 11, 2008  Taraana Music presented , a  fun festivity to celebrate and welcome the Bengali New Year. Folks from two countries India and Bangladesh joined together and made it a huge success. This was a first event of its kind to this area.
