She specializes in the light classical genre of Dadra, Kajri, Thumri, Gazals, Bhajans and Geets. In Bengali songs, she is a very popular and highly regarded artist for 'Nazrul Geeti'. Before she settled in USA she was a 'All India Radio' broadcasting artist for many years.
